Add an AI secretary to your website with one line of code

Paste one script tag and your website gets an AI Secretary that answers questions, books from live availability and takes orders. Works on Wix and WordPress.

Most small business websites have the same gap: a visitor reads about a service at 11pm, has one question, and leaves because nobody is there to answer it. Ordina's website widget closes that gap. You paste one line of code, and a button appears in the corner of every page. Visitors click it and ask your Secretary, book a time, or order, without leaving your site.

The line of code

Your dashboard writes it for you, with your own details filled in. It looks like this:

<script src="https://www.useordina.com/embed.js" data-ordina="your-handle" data-key="YOUR_WIDGET_KEY" data-color="#2EBFAE" data-position="right" async></script>
  • data-ordina is your business handle, the same one in your booking link.
  • data-key tells Ordina the widget is yours. It is not a secret.
  • data-color and data-position set the button's colour and the side of the screen it sits on.

The script loads with async, so it does not hold up the rest of your page.

What your visitors get

A round button floats in the corner you chose. Clicking it opens your booking page in a panel over your site, with your Secretary ready to help. On phones, the panel fills the screen and has a close button.

Inside that panel, your Secretary can:

  • Answer questions from what you taught it: your services and prices, opening hours, notes and FAQs, and up to three websites or PDFs on Pro (five on Business). It reads your own website, so the answers sound like you.
  • Book from live availability. It only offers times that are actually free, including around events on your Google Calendar if you connect it.
  • Take payment upfront or in person, depending on how you set each service. If online payments are not set up yet, customers can still book and pay in person.
  • Take orders for the products in your Store, so customers can buy without leaving your site.
  • Send confirmations and reminders by email, plus WhatsApp or SMS when the customer gives a phone number: one the evening before, and a short one about an hour before on WhatsApp where that message is available.
  • Pass a question to you when it does not know the answer, rather than guessing.

Every conversation lands in your Messages inbox, next to the ones from your booking page, Telegram, email and phone calls, so you see everything in one place.

Set it up in five minutes

  1. In your dashboard, open Integration, then Your website.
  2. Choose which websites can show it. Add your own domain, such as yoursite.com; subdomains like shop.yoursite.com are included. Browsers block the widget on any site that is not on your list, so nobody else can put your Secretary on their page.
  3. Pick the look, then copy the code.
  4. Paste it once, just before the closing body tag, so it appears on every page:
    • Wix: in your Wix dashboard, open Custom Code (under Advanced), choose Add Custom Code, and paste. This needs a paid Wix plan with your own domain.
    • Squarespace: go to Settings, then Code Injection (under Advanced or Developer tools), and paste into the Footer. This needs the Core plan or higher.
    • WordPress: install a header and footer plugin and paste the code into the footer. On WordPress.com, adding code needs a plan that allows plugins.
    • Any other site: open the template every page shares, usually the footer, paste the code just above the closing body tag, then save and publish.
  5. Open it once on your site. Click the button and check your booking page opens. The step in your dashboard turns green when it does.

To remove it later, delete the line from your website. There is nothing to switch off in Ordina.

Small touches you can change

The dashboard sets the colour and side for you. If you are comfortable editing the line, a few more attributes are available:

AttributeWhat it does
data-labelThe button's label, for example "Book a consultation"
data-greetingsThe short greeting bubbles, separated by a pipe: "Hi!|Questions? Ask me"
data-sound="off"Turns off the chime on a visitor's first visit

Privacy, in plain words

The widget records which website it loaded on and how often it was opened, so your dashboard can show that it works. Nothing about your visitors is recorded by the widget itself. What a visitor types in the chat is a conversation with your business, and it appears in your Messages like any other.

Tips that make a difference

  • Add it to every page, not only the home page. People often decide while reading about a specific service.
  • Teach the Secretary first. Add your website as a knowledge source and fill in your services, prices and hours before you go live. The better it knows your business, the fewer questions it passes to you.
  • Write down your policies. Cancellation rules, parking and what to bring are the questions visitors ask most.
  • Test it like a customer. Ask a question, then book a real slot and cancel it, so you see exactly what your visitors see.

What it costs

The website widget is included in both plans: Pro at $15 a month (or $150 a year) and Business at $39 a month (or $390 a year). Pro includes 150 Secretary conversations a month and Business 400. Every new account starts with a 7-day free trial of Pro, with no card needed. Ordina takes no fee from your sales.

FAQ

Does the widget work on Wix, Squarespace and WordPress?

Yes. On Wix it needs a paid plan with your own domain, on Squarespace the Core plan or higher, and on WordPress.com a plan that allows plugins. Self-hosted WordPress works with any header and footer plugin.

Will the widget slow my website down?

The script loads with async, so the rest of your page does not wait for it. The chat panel only opens when a visitor clicks the button.

Can someone copy my code onto their own site?

They can copy it, but it will not load there. Browsers block the widget on any website that is not on your allowed list, which is why we recommend listing your domains.

Do I need a website to use Ordina?

No. Every business gets its own booking page with the same Secretary. The widget is for businesses that already have a website and want the Secretary on it.

Can the Secretary answer in my customers' language?

Yes. Set its personality to Mirror the client and it replies in whatever language each customer writes in. Otherwise it replies in your dashboard language.
