Sell products and fulfil orders

Physical and digital products, stock, the cart, the Orders tab and marking things fulfilled.

Products are items customers order or buy rather than book. They live in the same Store as your services and the Secretary sells them in the same chat.

Setting up a product

In Store → Services, add an item and set its kind to Order / buy. Then:

  • Price or Free.
  • Stock: a number or Unlimited. The Secretary stops offering an item at zero and warns you when it is running low.
  • Photos and a description.
  • Payment: Pay Online, or Pay on pickup/delivery.
  • Digital delivery: attach a file or a link. It is emailed to the customer the moment payment clears and never exposed before.

How customers buy

They ask the Secretary, it adds items to a cart, quotes the total and takes payment or arranges collection. A customer can buy products and book a service in the same conversation; you get an order and an appointment.

The Orders tab

  • To fulfil: paid (or collect-on-delivery) orders waiting on you.
  • Unpaid: orders placed but not yet paid.
  • Fulfilled and Cancelled.

Open an order for the items and quantities, the customer's contact details, and their answers to any custom questions you asked. Tap Mark as fulfilled when it has been handed over or shipped; the customer is told.

Stock and the Secretary

Stock is live. If two customers want the last one, the first to pay gets it and the Secretary tells the second it has just gone. Adjust stock any time in Store, or tell your own Secretary: "Set the candle stock to 12".

Digital products

Ebooks, presets, templates, recordings, tickets: anything that is a file or a link. Delivery is automatic and instant on payment, with a receipt. See the playbook Sell digital products.
