QR check-in at the counter
Every confirmation carries a QR code. Scan it from the dashboard to check the customer in, print a slip, and trigger the thank-you.
Every booking confirmation includes a QR code. At the counter, scanning it tells you who has arrived, for what, and marks them checked in.
Scanning
- Open Scan in the dashboard (on a phone it is in the bottom bar).
- Tap Start Scanner and allow camera access.
- Ask the customer to show the QR code from their confirmation email or message, and point the camera at it.
Ordina looks up the booking and shows the service, date and time. Tap Check In. The customer gets a short thank-you email, and the appointment is marked as arrived. If the code has already been scanned you see Already checked in.
Printing a booking slip
After a scan, Print Booking Slip prints a small ticket with the booking details, useful for a staff board or a paper trail.
Errors you might see
- QR code not recognised: it is not an Ordina booking code. Ask for the confirmation email.
- This booking belongs to a different account: the customer booked with another business on Ordina.
Using it for more than arrivals
The same scanner works for tickets and events (a paid booking is a ticket) and for staff on the Business plan, who can check customers in without seeing your settings or money. See Run events and sell tickets and Walk-ins and a counter queue.
