Email: your Secretary answers your inbox

Forward the inbox customers write to, and your Secretary answers every customer email in the same thread: questions, open times, bookings, orders and payment links.

1. Copy your Secretary's addressIntegration, Email, Settings.
2. Forward your inbox to itIn Gmail, Outlook or your email host.

Setting it up

1. Open Integration, then Email, and go to Settings. Copy your Secretary's address and switch answering on.
2. Forward your enquiries inbox to that address:
   • Gmail: Settings, Forwarding and POP/IMAP, Add a forwarding address.
   • Outlook: Settings, Mail, Forwarding.
   • Most other email hosts have the same option, or a rule that forwards mail to one address.
3. Send a test email from another address and watch the reply arrive.

Good to know

• Your own emails still reach your Secretary as you. Emails from your account address go to your Secretary exactly as before; everyone else is treated as a customer.
• What is never answered: automatic replies, newsletters, mailing lists, bounces, and mail that fails the sender checks every email provider runs. A sender who writes very many times in an hour is paused.
• When it is not sure, your Secretary asks you first and passes your answer on.
• Conversations sit in Messages; filter by Email to see only these.
• Tip: put your Secretary's address in the reply-to of your newsletters and receipts too.

To stop, turn it off in Settings or stop forwarding your inbox.
