Add services and products
Every field on a service explained: kind, price, duration, stock, categories, payment options, where it happens, photos and descriptions.
Everything you sell lives in Store → Services. The Secretary reads this list before every conversation, so what you put here is what it quotes, books and sells.
Two kinds of item
- Book a time: a service with a duration. Customers pick a slot; it goes on your calendar. Haircuts, consultations, classes, repairs.
- Order / buy: a product. Customers add it to a cart and pay or arrange collection. Candles, ebooks, aftercare kits, tickets.
You can mix both in one store, and a customer can book a service and buy a product in the same conversation.
The fields
Name. What customers will see and what the Secretary will call it. "Gel manicure" is better than "Gel mani (new)".
Price. In your currency. Leave it as Free for a genuinely free service or product; it is shown as "Free" and never charged. If you would rather not show a price, use a negotiable price with a floor (below).
Duration (bookable only). Required, because it is how the calendar blocks time and how the Secretary avoids double booking. Include turnaround if you need it: a 45-minute cut that needs 15 minutes to reset is a 60-minute service.
Stock (products only). A number, or Unlimited. The Secretary will not sell what you do not have and tells you when something is running low.
Category. Create categories under Service categories (Facials, Massage, Hair) and assign each service to one. On your page they become sections, and on some templates a tile per category.
Tag. A short label like "Popular" or "New" shown on the service card.
Payment method.
- Pay Online: the customer pays in full when they book. Needs payouts connected.
- Pay at Venue: the customer pays when they arrive.
- Customer's Choice: the Secretary offers both.
Until payouts are connected, online options fall back to pay at venue automatically.
Negotiable price. Switch it on and set the lowest price you'll accept. Customers never see the floor; the Secretary can come down to it and never below. See Let the Secretary negotiate.
Where does this happen? (bookable only)
- Clients come to your location: the default. Your address is on the confirmation.
- You travel to the client: the Secretary asks for their address during booking and it appears on the appointment with an "Open in Google Maps" link.
- Delivered over a video call: pick Google Meet (a fresh link per booking, hosted by you if Google Calendar is connected) or a custom meeting link you own (Zoom, Teams), reused for every booking.
Photos. Up to a handful per item. Drag to reorder; the first one is the thumbnail on your page. Images are compressed automatically.
Description. Shown when a customer taps the card. Say what is included, how long it takes and what to bring. The Secretary reads this too, so a good description answers questions before they are asked.
Saving
Every service needs a name, a price (or Free) and, for bookable ones, a duration. The Save changes button stays grey until each incomplete item is finished or removed, and the field that is missing is marked in red next to the item.
