Tables and orders for restaurants, lounges and cafés
Take table reservations as bookings and menu items as products in the same conversation.
A table is a bookable service; a dish is a product. The Secretary can do both in one chat: "Table for four at eight, and can you have a bottle of prosecco ready?"
Tables
- Add a service per table size or per sitting: "Table for 2", "Table for 4 to 6", or "Dinner sitting (2 hours)". Duration = how long a table is held. Price Free or a small Pay Online reservation fee that you deduct from the bill.
- Simultaneous appointments = the number of tables you take reservations for.
- Business hours = service hours. If lunch and dinner are split, see working hours.
The menu
Import the menu with catalogue import from a PDF or a photo, as Order / buy products with Pay on pickup/delivery for collection or Pay Online for delivery. Upload the full menu as a document source so the Secretary can answer "Is the curry spicy?" from your own descriptions.
Policies
Put them in the knowledge base: how long a table is held, large-group deposits, dress code, whether you take walk-ins, allergens, corkage, parking.
On the night
Appointments → Upcoming is your reservations list. Orders → To fulfil is the kitchen's collection list. Mark tables complete after service so guests get the review link.
