Walk-ins and a counter queue

Turn walk-ins into bookings with a QR code at the door, and use the scanner to keep a fair, visible queue.

Walk-ins are bookings that have not happened yet. A QR code at the door turns them into bookings without anyone at the desk.

The sign

Print a QR code for your booking link (any free generator) with three words: "Scan to book". Put it at the door, at the till and in the window. Include your WhatsApp link too if you have it.

What happens

A walk-in scans, tells the Secretary what they want, and is offered the next free slot, which might be in ten minutes. They get a confirmation with a QR code and can wait, or go for a coffee. If you are fully booked, the Secretary offers the next opening and the walk-in books that instead of leaving with nothing.

The queue

Because every walk-in now has a time, your Appointments → Upcoming tab is the queue, in order. Scan each customer's QR when they sit down (Scan → Check In) and the list is your record of who was served.

Capacity

Set Simultaneous appointments to the number of chairs or stations, so the Secretary fills them without overbooking.

Staff at the counter

On the Business plan, invite staff under Team. They can use the scanner and see appointments and messages, but not your settings or money.
